Silicone Mould Making (Sat & Sun, 29-30 Oct 2022)
This is a hands on two-day intensive course on Silicone Mould Making, focusing on casting and mould making using silicone rubber moulds. Silicone is a versatile material that enables you to make highly detailed moulds that are flexible and can be used to make many casts. Recommended for beginners or those with some experience.

What Will I Learn
What Will I Do
Day 1
Introduction to the material and an overview of what it is used for.
We will then make our first simple block mould using the smallest object to understand mixing ratios and pouring. After this we will move onto making the first half of a 2-part flexible mould with a rigid plaster jacket. To finish the day we will demould and cast into the block moulds using a variety of materials (Plaster, wax, concrete)
Day 2
Completion of the 2nd half of the 2-part mould. To finish the day we will aim to demould the objects and cast into them.

Basic materials are all included
The cost of the course includes 1kg of Silicone. Additional Silicone is available to purchase on the day if required.
Open to all levels including beginners
