We will explore the space\, the volume and different types of lines from a new perspective\, considering the light\, shadows and interstices between the lines as part of the work as well. The course will cover the techniques of bending\, cutting\, grinding\, rolling & shaping steel rods. It will cover MIG welding for beginners and advanced.\nStudents will work on individual sculpture/s or projects. If you don’t have a project yet\, no worries\, we will discuss and give shape to your ideas. Small group numbers allows 1:1 tuition for participants on this course.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What Will I Do\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Day one\nInitial introduction to drawing in the space including volume\, line\, and modulating the line in the space. Light\, projections and shadows will also be discussed. Intro to some interesting artists working on the field.\nIntroduction to the workshop practice and possibilities of materials.\nStudents will be encouraged to create a design with wire and then reproduce it with steel rods. \nDay 2\nStudents will work on individual sculpture/s or projects\, research new possibilities and processes and will be shown finishing processes.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Additional Information\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Please note there will be a 1 hour lunch break each day (lunch not provided)\nBasic materials are all included\nOpen to all levels including beginners\nHealth and Safety briefing will be given\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What Should I Bring\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Please bring a notebook/sketchbook\nIt is essential to wear old clothes and strong footwear \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n CLICK HERE TO BOOK THIS COURSE ON EVENTBRITE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n CLICK HERE TO DOWLOAD PDF OF COURSE DETAILS
