DESCRIPTION:This exciting two day workshop will enable you to learn a variety of skills necessary for working with steel rods. Silvina also designs and produces sculptural jewellery which can be viewed here: www.silvinasoriadesign.com \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				What Will I Learn\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				The aim of this course is that you can explore new ways of conceiving sculpture and drawing. We will explore the space\, the volume and different types of lines from a new perspective\, considering the light\, shadows and interstices between the lines as part of the work as well. The course will cover the techniques of bending\, cutting\, grinding\, rolling & shaping steel rods. It will cover MIG welding for beginners and advanced.\nStudents will work on individual sculpture/s or projects. If you don’t have a project yet\, no worries\, we will discuss and give shape to your ideas. Small group numbers allows 1:1 tuition for participants on this course.\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				What Will I Do\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Day one\nInitial introduction to drawing in the space including volume\, line\, and modulating the line in the space. Light\, projections and shadows will also be discussed.
